Boy sniffing glue (Otro castigo de la miseria)
Glue-sniffing is a phenomenon that has reached epidemic proportions among the destitute population in big cities, all across Latin America.
Children are seen night and day perambulating from place to place, glued ceaselessly to the bottles protruding from their dirty T-shirts.
The cheap high obtained by this practice, and the chemicals it contains, will induce brain damage in a couple of years.
This shot was taken in Cali, Colombia, in 2000.
