Beto Borja, September 26th 1997

Twenty years have gone by since that morning in Cali where I saw my younger brother alive for the last time. Twenty years which have been enough to fill another lifetime and we must continue to fulfil the mandate of our tasks: to work, to love, to live. And to remember those we carry in our blood, to honour their memory.
My baby brother remains -as it must be in photographs- distant, frozen in time, the downcast gaze fixed forever on this portrait. His spirit still resides in my soul.
