When in Rome by Tim Smith

I owe this very nice portrait of yours truly to my young student Tim Smith.
One of the joys of teaching in England, at Canterbury College in particular, is the opportunity to go to the continent once a year to see art. While in Rome -ville merveilleuse de sublime grandeur- we visited many wonderful places, breathed the ancient air of a powerful civilization, discovered many aspects of art hitherto unknown to us all and, best of all, came back in one piece.
Thanks, Tim, may the long shadow of our masters walk along with you for many years to come. Amen.
