Two artists, brother and sister

Whitstable, Kent, is a beautiful coastal town full of artists. This single fact I can count as one of the blessings of the place. It also helps that the locale is easy on the eye. It always reminds me of San Francisco, when you drive down from the hills and see the town somewhat sleepy and the shimmering waves on the distance.
It was here that I recently met Ron Grun, brother of painter Cathy McTurk and master clarinetist. Ron is a most amiable fellow, quiet, unassuming and a wonderful musician who used to live in Los Angeles but now makes his home in Paris.
I wanted to seize the moment and asked them to stand for a portrait the next morning, the very last day of November 2008. Here are the results.
